@:') Not really, it depends on the players available at the time of queueing. I know people with 4500 MMR who got pulled into a team with a pro 4-stack to "fill the gap".
at 4k8, you can start having a hope, 5k2 to 5k9 you will fall on them pretty often, 5k9+ you'll leave their bracket and fall on them much less often
Well got matched with Yamateh with 4.65k MMR

so yeah..it's kinda random.
It depends on the pro. The range is from 4200-6000 so if you come anywhere there you have the chance to stack with a pro player.

Any MMR is enough. Valve makes matches with 2k 3k 4k ranges of MMR... whatever range of MMR anyone in the game has in a stack is matched on the other stack. Of course if you have extremely high MMR you are more likely to play with/against pros.
I have 10 ppl on my friends list with over 2k more MMR than I do. One has almost 3k more. Valve finds matches for us... so clearly...
Pretty sure FameGG means 5x random solo players instead of a stacked party you made yourself.
If you play with strong stack you can be matched vs pros even if you are like 3500 or 4000 mmr. For solo queue smth like 4800+ is most likely you can be matched with or versus some famous pros or pub stars. I was vs dendi when I had 4900 mmr played with Miggel with 4750 mmr or smth etc..
Depends on your server. I play SA so even if I have 7k I won't get any famous pro players.
Lots of very good players there, though.
yes ofc exception is those big numbers lets say 6k, then it is normal to get matcched with 5,5k
yea as someone also made a good point on the US servers you will not find as many pro dota players but there still are good players it is just there are less people sponsoring US teams compared to EU
You need 4.5k+ to match pros. You need 4.5k+ to match the biggest morons ever as well.
The solo que and the party que for ranked are the same que. Yes, they should not be the same que... but they are. If you que for solo you will play with and against stacks nearly every game.
Because stacks exist like this: Pro player + 4k MMR friend + 3k MMR friend... someone will be playing against them with 4k and 3k MMR and often from solo que. Someone with who knows what MMR will be put on their team from solo que to match whatever is on the opposing team.
The main reason that people do not often play with and against pro players is that there just are not very many of them. It's not because of MMRs. Pro's MMRs tend to be 4.5k up to 6k. But you don't need scores like that to be the same games.
I have a 3500mmr friend who got matched up with ixmike.
