It fits alliance's playstyle well, but the real question is if it the strat can be replicated with consistency. Big difference between a pock surprise strat and a reliable strat.
Alliance has coordination like no other team has - other teams have tried their strats and failed miserably because of this.
I do this all the time with my amigo who plays CM. Its the biggest shutdown to a carry lane in a non-trilane duo.

@Yfay This is about contesting the safe lane which you can do without the aid of a Vanguard. Sadly Vanguard doesn't help Tusk scale so well late so I go in favor of the minus armor for a one hit kill in ultimate form.

Alliance vs VG in D2L, forces a 20 minute gg call by VG. Shards are ridiculously good for isolating people and beating the shit out of them even with "defensive" supports like Treant.
