i think what the OP is saying is that the abandoned games are counted in dotabuff, even though they really doesn't affect your mmr

@krkshka, it seems when you bring up API not telling you early abandon in the dev forums people are quick to point out the API does tell you when stats are not recorded.

"If and when Valve adds support to the API that allows us to determine whether a match counted, and if each player received a win, loss or abandon, we will retroactively fix all matches and recalculate records."
