The age range is probably 15 onwards to 20s. The newer generation tend to play LoL and when you're past 30 you usually are binded by commitments.

16...started dota 2 when i was 15....never played wc3 dota and now im better than most people...that is inb4 my RSI kicked in
well I'm 36 probably one of the oldest player here, I'm a programmer and started playing dota since 2007.
