Yes, just as the above comment stated. Backtrack is NOT evasion, as many people think so. It is a completely different mechanic, where the damage is applied but then reversed, as if nothing happened. This means that it will dodge ANY form of damage. Try putting a bunch of DOTs on Faceless Void and watch him look like he's dancing, it's quite funny.

Void op plz nerf
He is useless out of chrono really. 0 mobility
But seriously wd+void combo is op
Backtrack isn't evasion, it can't be countered. In dota 1 it worked by triggered heal mechanic: you healed yourself before taking the damage
^Yeah just because of that mechanic you actually couldn't Backtrack killing blows but I guess they fixed that in Dota 2.
^If by "can't be countered" you mean Void can backtrack all damage then it's not true. Void can't backtrack HP removal damage type (such as bloodseeker ult). Other than that void can backtrack basically everything, even axe ult.
Sam you're actually wrong because the heal happened before the damage occured, so yes you could avoid killing blows
For example the first play here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAVv6g8KcWM
And yeah Safe Base I meant you can't counter with usual damage
You could avoid killing blows in dota1, what couldn't be avoided were blows which dealt a damage number higher than your total HP :P
Same mechanic with TA's Refraction.
I don't think Backtrack can save your from Axe's ulti, since it is not damage, but a triggered death. It goes through Dazzle's Shallow Grave and Repel + Guardian Angel combo. So, technically, it is not damage, hence cannot be backtracked)
I'll just mention that is what made butterfly very viable for faceless even before evasions stacked - backtrack isn't evasion, so it worked just fine.

Does backtrack evade even Mkb hit?
I'm pretty sure Pa's blur is ineffective against Mkb, but Void's skill is a bit different...
