Erik Johnson on Philosophy of Incompetence, Death of Dota 2 and eSports [august 15] in General Discussion
Relentless

Lol, "We are going to do what we did after the first 2 internationals....we are going to go back to the office and rest."

I can just imagine the nice resting they are doing.

I don't know how anyone can maintain confidence in the face of this deadpan "I am so bored and I plan to eat you later" stare from the interviewer....well it probably looks different from Eric's perspective. This is why you are never supposed to show one person listening to another person on TV. PAN the camera!!! why, why? That is the nightmare of every political candidate...everyone looks creepy or stupid, or somehow wrong from the side while listening. But in normal life it doesn't matter because you never watch the person listening next to you...you look at the person talking.

Going back to the beginning of the interview I am reminded again of how often Valve employees talk about how they love to play dota....maybe they don't want a ranking because they are personally bad at the game and would rather not everyone saw how bad they are?...no it still doesn't make sense. They can all personally turn stats off.

Maybe they are all playing dota 5 or 6 hours a day and so they don't have time to work...it could be like some bad drug dealers who sample their product and become addicts themselves instead of making money.
