This happens because they leveled up more than 1 level before skilling the points. It happens a lot at levels 10-11 especially. Then they click to skill the ult first.

ah that makes sense. I still think it should be fixed though, just for the sake of correctness.

            HeLL_RAISeR

It should not be fixed because it's correct. I can save level points and put them later there's nothing wrong with it.

              Lanz

No, its not correct. To be completely correct, it would have to list all of the skills that were learned for each level. ie no skills at level 10, and the 2 skills (ult and other) at level 11. However, I don't think thats the right solution, I was just trying to prove my point.

^I'm sure dotabuff coders would be hyped rewriting their code for something silly and insignificant like this.

                  Lanz

lol I agree, but I do think it should be on their list as a low priority item. Its a simple task anyway - add a condition to check if the skill is an ult, and if so put it at the appropriate level.

My main reasoning is that you don't want to confuse new players. Displaying information incorrectly can also affect credibility (though admittedly very minor in this case).

                    Monkeh

But it's not incorrect is it. It shows what order skills were levelled, so in fact, it's exactly correct.

Nothing to fix. It's a nice riddle for new players who will post on the forums saying, 'Skill Build Page Bug' and everyone else will point and laugh at them for being so noob.

                      :DDD

                      Lanz

                        To reiterate:
'No, its not correct. To be completely correct, it would have to list all of the skills that were learned for each level. ie no skills at level 10, and the 2 skills (ult and other) at level 11.'

The ult was not learned at level 10, it was learned at level 11, along with another skill. So if you're going for correctness, both skills should be listed at level 11.

                          Skill build.

                          Build.

                          Built in what order?

                          The 10th skill levelled was...?
                          The 11th skill levelled was...?

                          Lanz

So you're suggesting the leveling of skills should be viewed as independent from the hero level? That seems kinda silly to me.

                            Monkeh

No, I'm suggesting the skill build page should show what order the skills were built. The fact you get 2 levels before skilling the ult can be a tactical decision after all. SF getting 2 levels of ult at 10 and 11 and then BOOM! You all deaded etc.

I don't see how it could be coded to just pick an ult skill and then always make sure it levels at the appropriate time. That would throw everything else out.

When you realise that you can get a couple of levels at one team fight and skill the ult as the 5th, 10th or 15th skill levelled, it really is no big deal.

                              Lanz

Anything is possible with code =P

Anyway, I'll concede to your points. Its a very minor issue either way, and susceptible to opinion/preference.
