LF advice on my Lone Druid play in General Discussion
George Soros Protester

If you have the time and are willing to help me out please take a look at my Lone Druid play and give me some tips on how to take it to the next level. I feel like I do a good job microing on him but my WR with 12 games played on him does not show that nor my KDA.

I want to blame my teammates but I know that is not the only problem or is it in my case? I do feel like my WR/KDA will go up with more games played due to the fact I know I play him decent, just not the best atm.

Here is my most recent match played on him in which I lost. Lone Druid was randomed and I swapped for him this game.

If anyone is willing to take the time to check it out and give me pointers I would like to thank you in advance.

I actually agree with xeka, you farmed too much with a mirana, pudge, kunkka, and weaver on your team (not including the fact that mirana didn't go a support build, giving your team 4 carries)
Druid is just a bad pick for pubs, especially with your teammates if your afk farming all game you will find your team has fed them to an unrecoverable point. Its not your fault, just don't pick druid unless you have good teammates (I know that was a randomed druid)

Thanks for the input I'm what Willis talks about & xeKa. I would have to agree I did farm a lot that game thinking back on it.

First of all, I would really prefer to see LD in a lane. You can get a lot more farm in lane than in the jungle. Max lane farm is 396 gpm. You were at 213 gpm when you got your hand of midas at 8:20. LD is very strong in nearly every laning situation. If you really want to excel at LD you need to learn how to lane him.

Your items look good for a jungle LD start. You didn't quite get that 1 min easy camp timing, if you had walked out to start it 1 or 2 seconds sooner you would have it.

When farming a troll summoner camp, kill the hill trolls first so you will get skeletons to farm...extra gold and xp.

8:20 is a later timing for Hand of Midas...it will still give you some xp gain at this point but far far less than if you got it quickly in the lane. 5 minutes would be possible if you farmed in the lane. Once you get entangle your jungling speed dramatically increases. LD is really not that great in the jungle before level 5.

Get a point in your ult and transform at level 6. Get a point in Rapid. If you had these you would have been able to escape from the gank at 10:40. Also you will jungle faster in ult form. Get your ult and use it.

16:45 fight. You have to be faster to use your skills. Battlecry level 2 is +40 to hero and bear and +4 armor on both that was critically important. Also you had a dust, good, but you have to get it off before doomed. You had 3 to 4 seconds to cast dust and battlecry that is way more than enough time. And focus down that Zues if you can. At this point in the game he has far more dps wilth spells than riki. Don't get distracted. Focus the hero you can kill and take then out. Bears do no dmg while walking around changing targets.

Whenever you respawn don't forget...not only are you much harder to kill in True Form. Your base attack is faster. Farm and push in True Form.

Radiance is a lot more useful on the bear than basher. Even if you get it late, it allows you to split push...this will often win the game.
It would also have prevented enigma from blinking.

In the fight at 28:30. The bear was near their team for 34 seconds...radiance burn would have done 1700 magic dmg in that time, easily winning the fight, probably getting you an ultra kill or even a rampage depending on how long they decided to stay before running away.

The rest of the game is not very important. You lost because you often forget to change to True Form and did not get radiance.
Pretty much any hero...not using the ultimate correctly means you are far more likely to lose.

Thanks Relentless for your thorough analysis of my play on LD and I agree completely LD is extremely strong in lane and I would rather not jungle him. I asked my team if they wanted me to lane or jungle and they agreed on me jungling, was that the right move maybe not.

I have only been playing Dota/Mobas for about 6 months total so I do have stuff to learn, thinking back on it I agree 100% radiance would have been a game changer. I agree with everything you said and I thank you for the insight of where I went wrong.

                        You're welcome.

We just released an updated hero and facet statistics page featuring more data and advanced filters. Oh, and it supports Turbo!
