Anti Mage and Phantom Assassin pickers really piss me off... when they're on my team.
In my scrub tier, it's all about the counter-ganking. If I'm AM or someone else is AM, we make sure to set up proper vision with wards & sentries. When they come to gank, we just feed them to our AM. gg no re.
These problematic hero situations are really easy to deal with.
I pick AM and apart from the occasional randoms I am never in a team. When I play with decent players I don't try for max farm, rather I take mana early and it works well. Your problem is that most AM pickers are bad players. Its not the hero itself. AM is actually very hard to play, many many players don't know how good he actually is.

@swiftending, very low game impact (stays back and ks most likely) and leaves a lot of matches that are going badly (with those heroes)

valve never recognize good players with good map awareness. they just love their money cows.
Each time you bash their money cows, they will punish you by putting 1 or 2 antimage player in your team the next 2 or 3 games... not just one next game. They feed like 0/10.
So high KDA is just simple. Don't feed when you lose, and rape them hard when you win.
