It is placed in your compendium. So far this is what they do (link below). I think Valve is adding or considering adding more things that can be done with player cards.

Lol what. So the function with this card is.... that there is no function? Lmao. Whenever i hover my mouse over "Era" he looks exactly like the rest of the players and theres no features attached to him.
"Placed in my compendium" i cant see that i have this card anywhere in my compendium.
"Once the player card has been stamped into your Compendium the team profile page will be updated and that player’s image will be now displayed in full colour, representing the fact that you have stamped/collected that player."
^ lol no. Fnatic and Era looks similar to all other teams, except for that fact there is no picture of their faces. Good job Valve, another useless thing implemented onto this game.
Ok, so changing the background color is the only thing a player card does? Not bad Valve, not bad.
What is all this card collecting stuffs... They don't know how to leech money from us and added steam TCG and now these player cards?
As a collector with an instinct to achieve 100% I feel that this is so waste of my money. There's something different with achievements, some involve skills... But this? This is total !@#$ :D
