But if someone stays in the game, and completes the game, or some of it
The game would count only on dotabuff
But on dotabuff, if at least 1 player from each team completes the game, or maybe 20+ minutes of it, the game would count on dotabuff ONLY

A guy disconnected in the picking phase (I thought he did not like his draft), we waited for him ~2 min, then I left, being sure everyone will leave. My team decided they should play in 4 or less, so I got an abandon.

Why the game counted as an abandonment, or why was it counted as a lose on dotabuff?
If u meant abandonment, I am not sure, maybe u abandoned before he did

I was asking about abandonment. You mean always the first who leaves gets an abandon if one in your team decides not to leave? Even if you left before everyone picked his hero?
@6_din_49: You left before he actually got an abandon for the game. He most likely came back after you left before his 5 minute countdown so it was you who got the adandon. Never leave before the message stating it is safe to do so is displayed.
For sure you don't get abandon or loss if all your team leaves before 5 min mark / first blood. The problem is when someone decides not to leave.

It's hard to dig through all the threads here so forgive me if someone already answered that question, but; did dotabuff finally stop recording early abandons? Just had a game where someone quit during picking, and it hasn't appeared on my list so far.
