We're trying out new ads - if they bring in enough revenue to support new feature development, we'll keep them. Otherwise they're gone.
Dotabuff requires a lot of resources to operate and grow - both in terms of infrastructure and people.
Plus members don't see the ads wink wink nudge nudge know what I mean.
