Agreed :) i think thats the best possible idea right now, but still valve would have to be convinced to change that privacy setting in dota. The people who are not interested in rating just hide their stats and have no problems (and valve and minority are happy) and people who do want can show their score to the world (and dota buff and majority are happy)
What I did is just tell every friends that I know that is playing Dota 2 about DB and DBR. Get them curious and open up, they gonna tell their other friends and do the same opening up. Helps the accuracy even if it is just a little bit. But I really do believe that most people will open it up. The only ones that will still keep it closed...well. Will be those so called "casuals" who "cares" about their "stats"... Casual much?

I'd like to say we're here to discuss and post suggestions which could be mutual/ beneficial to all parties related to the privacy settings and DBR. Don't debate irrelevant stuff.
1. As a fellow forumer did suggest, maybe DB staff can make a function that enables if we can or can't show our stats to the public?
Although polls shows majority could care less, there's still the minority to consider.
