Valve gives you a loss and an abandon if you afk or disconnect for more than 5 minutes, we just do the same. If you don't like the approach, you should contact Valve.

Why you counting me this game https://dotabuff.com/matches/97642733 like a lost? I have problem with pc and I reconnected after 5min because sniper unpaused game. But if I am don't reconnect my team lose this game. This is my win too....
