I feel same about Juggernaut. This is so stupid, in those games my team has a carry for few seconds per match, literally, this is a sum of seconds when Jug ulties before he dies, that's it.
In my bracket, enemies just rush to the tower and kill you, cuz they know AM is fxxking weak.
The average game time for dota is around 30 to 40 mins, by that time even he has battle fury and manta style, he mostly cannot get solo kill by himself.
I'm pretty sure AM is the worst hero now. He needs a very good draft to hold the game as long as possible (like Magnus buff, Pit lord defensive skills, plus his aura, with pipe, crimson guard).
Maybe AM is viable in competitive tournament, I'm not sure, but look at RTZ in TI vs OG, they just can't hold. It is completely joke to me, even he is online with bkb, manta, battle fury, OG can still managed to take him down.
Reason is because his teammates were pressured by OG very hard without any items to back him up.
Amen to this. Amusingly, 11 percent of low bracket games have an AM in them. What special sort of a-hole queues to play with casuals who have a couple hundred hours of competitive play and says "yep, definitely an anti-mage kinda game".

All said in terms of strat. It's a 4 - 1 strat like when you have a Naga, a PL or an not-online PA in your team.
Your team has to understand when, where and how to fight (baiting mistakes and ennemies resources) in this kind of strat instead of chasing ennemies 4v5 without vision all stacked (except to cancel ennemy TPs).
However ywn, you'll admit that:
- your team needs the appropriate draft/farms/items for this strat. Magnus' empower can help as well.
- the magina draft is situational to counter this storm or this skywrath
- other top tier agi cores do the split pushing thing better in the current meta (naga)
- magina gets his power spike later than those top tier agi cores (naga again) and needs aby/basher to lock down (Skadi is just a slow)

Ranked Season 4 stats for those matches I had AM or Jugger in my team:
Antimage: Matches - 21; Win Rate - 61.90%
Juggernaut: Matches - 21; Win Rate - 19.05%
Feels like Jugg in your team is an auto-loss. Probably should have banned Jugg, I felt it's bad, but did not know it's that bad statistics.
At least you guys know how to punish an AM. I just played a game where our offlane WK and safelane Slark both went Midas, when there was an Alch and AM in the other team. Instead of getting a fighting item and a pushing item, they tried to outfarm an AM and Alch. Fck me
@ET: You are blaming your cores' midas followed by decent timings on their items but what about this mid Lina building bloodstone. WTF are we really in 2019 ? Picks Lina mid into a pudge + NS + Alche/Magina (Magina or Alche last pick doesn't change anything) ? And you complain about your two other cores ?

Game was already lost when Lina got bloodstone. But look at how much we delayed THEIR timings with early game skirmishes, which is how you’re supposed to tackle a team with AM. AM had 19 min BF, Alch got radiance at 18. We had a 2K gold lead at 15 mins. But nope, they went back for midas instead of getting tempo items or pushing items

- Slark midas is complete bullshit in this matchup. Even a greedy lotars to annoy the alche and steal stats would have been better. The lotars would have allowed him to reposition as well against this NS. The worse is that the Slark pick is supposed to counter alche.
- You have to finish the game early against magina. Played against one yesterday, we proceeded to destroy highground minute 15 before magina gets online.
But:
- WK was pos3 and, hence, you can't expect him to have pos1 timings. The thing is his lvl 20 is a must-have if you don't manage to finish early enough (which happened)
- On the Lina, she started building bloodstone minute 20 and got it minute 29. She was mid and was supposed to enable your team ? Her draft and item build is bullshit ? A midlaner is supposed to crush at least 2 picks of the ennemy team or the midlaner. What could she crush with her pick and item build ?
I'm saying that both your pos1 and pos2 have higher responsibilities than pos3 they didn't fulfill. Specially when they counter pick (slark) or they have enough gold to itemize (bloodstone VS Alche, Magina, NS, Pudge ? To heal your team when she get exploded ? To watch your allies get dismembered ? To watch NS silence half your team ?)
One last advice (no flame), when you see your poor Lion struggling big time (24th minute glimmer), try to help a bit more on obs&sentries and smokes (5:43 -> 17:54 you bought 2 obs + 2 smoke). I have compassion for this poor Lion.

Sygma I’ll admit my error. After a good start of getting multiple kills on AM, I got greedy and was looking to Aghs rush(why I had point booster so early then sat on it rest of the game). Neglected smaller teamfight items, only went back for urn and spirit vessel after realizing that the tides turned.
I still stand by my anger directed towards WK and Slark, more so the former, because I laned with WK and was already telling him to go tempo w blademail-blink. Nothing. Didn’t even get a wand to have mana just before dying( he barely ever got ult off because he’d be drained). We shut down the AM and Alch during lane and early pace of the magch, but decided to fall back and try to outfarm them.
^You did well building vessel (no purge item for alche) and you are a supp so go easy on yourself.
I'm just sad when I imagine your poor Lion landing a Q in fight then dying right away before he could finger as he needed help with wards spendings to get glimmer/force.
My point was that the pos1 (Slark) and pos2's (Lina) duty is to carry (including the lategame). Which they didn't.
I insist on your pos2 spending 4.9k gold on bloodstone whereas even the aghs which is sub-optimal on Lina would have been better:
- Goes through BKB NS
- Pure damages for pipe Alche, Magina passive, glimmer Kotol
- pudge magic resist from STR heaps
As a pos2 she is supposed to have more impact than your pos3.

@road to ancient very good example, just like what I've said, around 30 mins game, AM with bf, manta or additional basher/ bkb, he is still squishy, and probably can take him down within 3 sec.
Now, look at the items and net worth of his teammates, 4 of them got pressured so hard in early game, only luna has an aghanim in 20 mins.
Even Lesh was feeding, his items were way better than AM's team.
This is what high skilled bracket with AM currently. Most importantly, pos1 always pick at last/ last two, so you won't be able to adjust the draft for AM if he doesn't speak out.

how do i play am when people get picked off constantly and I'm fighting with at least two teammates for creeps, I don't know
whenever i look at high mmr antimage, they don't have teammates who farm neighboring camps on purpose just so i have to run across the map for a creep
im picking lycan and enemy picking am after me.
i wasnt dishonored like this before.
but the point is, as u can see am pickers have zero clue about anything thats only reason they are am picker in first place.

This hero is worse than techies in my opinion, it is guaranteed 4v5 in the first 30 mins, which also mean your enemy has full control of the map and well farmed.
People just know the time to finish the game and your team couldn't hold.
