I'm in 2~3K MMR, but it's really rare to have intentional feeders and abandons in my team. Now I'm in 7 winning streak, so I can say that the score system is actually working.
6k is the sweet spot
lower you get people that just troll for no reason, gaining mmr becomes a fiftee/fiftee coinflip
higher you get people that would say stuff like ''so what you cant tell people how to play dota'' after they buy boots desolator on support earthshaker. or people that report you for flaming when you type ''EZ'' in all game chat (actually happened)
>people that report you for flaming when you type ''EZ'' in all game chat (actually happened)
Don't act so surprised lol, that's a completely deserved report
I have been between 5k and 7k for about a year and can confirm that anything under 5.5k is horrible whilst anything between 6k and 7k you meet the best, most honest people in the game. Its a thin line though.
Honestly i havent seen any difference between 7k and 10k behavior score. Maybe the line goes somewhere around 6k?
I dont care if people are a bit a toxic if they keep on playing when the game isnt over. I dont care if someone types "its gg" if they keep playing. I dont care if someone points out something i did or didnt do as long as they dont hang up on it.
I mean i do everything of that so i expect people to do the same to me.
People forget toxicity can be a consistent or non-consistent thing. Yes there are dickheads who are arseholes to everyone and they float around 9k. And there's some poor positive guy who's hovering around 6k because of the amount of abandons he has cos his pc is a potato. Not to mention guys have bad days at work/school and go home to play dota and get easily pissed off etc.
Point is behaviour score is not a reliable way to measure positivity due the variables. If you're a positive person and you know you are then good for you keep it up
If you're a toxic fucker please stop playing the video game thanks.
have reached 8k behaviour score . its actually really nice playing with a communicative team who actually are good at the game
Of course you get a better gaming experience. People are less toxic. Does it actually matter though? No.
>"Does it actually matter though? No."
yes it actually does .
pma is everything
ive been winning most of my games since then !
“Better” teammates will always be relative to what’s on the enemy team.
Yes you get a worse game experience. But no it doesn’t matter in the end because everyone on the enemy team is just as tilted as you are.
10k score here. 90% of the time people are cool. People still get upset with losing but there is a big difference between that and just sitting in the fountain or feeding courier. Actually i havent seen a courier feed in a very long time. Every now and then you get an arsehat. But everyone has a bad day every now and then.
you dont get "better" teammates. you get teammates that are not toxic and dont throw on purpose. but that does not mean they are actually "good". sometimes they are horrible players
Yes very true Holt. But losing with people that try and say at the end. That was fun. Is better then everyone spitting fire at each other
No, i have 10k from the start, and each match there are at least ~2 flamers in my team
My friend got down to 4k BHS due to his potato pc disconnecting and him getting a bunch of abandons. His comments when I asked him what it's like down there is 'there are a lot of sub-humans down there'. After 5.5k he said there were more humans than animals.
He got out pretty quickly by buying a new computer then playing supports and being a ward-bitch.
Do you get matched against players with same bs? Answer is yes for sure.
The moment I went into lp and dropped below 5k bs I started to get feeders and abandoners in my game at a high rate never seen before in previous games. A lot of them were on enemy team. Overall I’d say i didn’t notice any imbalance. Toxicity was apparent all around both teams.
I have 10k bs and I get more toxicity in group than in solo
Also more toxicity when I play turbo
Yes it does matter a lot. You might not be facing better players (in terms of skills) but they will be much better in terms of attitude. As a 9.5-10K BS player, I rarely see feeders or toxic people in my game.
I'm constant 10k and i meet boosters/account buyer quite frequently
there's that 1 player in your team who doesn't communicate
Nikki u should try playing a 4k bs account. I would expect that a 10k bs players complaints about other players might be something like he doesn’t communicate. That’s actually so wholesome.
Higher behaviour score = less variance.
This scale is ridiculous though. Some people can't grasp the fact that intentionally feeding, ruining, throwing is in no way even remotely similar to someone vomiting garbage in the chat. But they are on the same axis. So even those people who never int ruin but are maybe assholes are paired up with people who do int ruin. And it's an explosive mix.
no it doesnt. Only if you fall into the bad numbers like <7k. but I have to say 8.8 is significantly worse then 8.2 - 8.5.
i don't think it matters im at constant 10k and i still meet people who type "ez dogs" or pause the game when they kill u almost every game
@desire - IMHO, it is because you are being matched with lower behaviour score players. There was this guy on youtube, who did a study on behaviour score and teammate toxicity and went from 0 to 10000, in his study he conducted, that sweet spot is arround 8000-8500.
When he got score lower than 5000 - he was matched with toxic/acid hellmates, higher than 9000 - less toxic mates in general, but got some times he got matched with mates who had 4000-5000 score on their account.
So IMHO, just ask few matches in a row how much behaviour score your mates have.
if you have a low BH score playing in groups as 2/3/4 is impossible, the random filled in players are bad and toxic beyond believe

Can anyone confirm that a higher behaviour score actually yields better teammates and an overall better gaming experience that could potentially make gaining mmr easier?
I mean I used to be a toxic autist, averaging 15 reports per summary ( and ~17 commends somehow ) with 2k behaviour score. After numerous painful games with instant feeders and flamers, I decided to become a better person and I've climbed to 5.5k behaviour score, but I still get matched with flamers/ rage feeders.
So does it actually matter? I'm trying to do my best not to relapse, but I'm not sure if it's actually going to pay off.
