I don't think that this is correct. I am 2,1k and my mates are around 3,5k and I am still playing in very high skill games sometimes.

I can't feel the difference. I try not to use brain when playing, but still have "high" skill, full of noobs and game ruiners in both teams.

Well maybe there's a traaash meter and ur failin cause 3.2+ should get high. U see our friend triplesteal is always very high. In fact he's so high he couldnt play anything but timberpot
