The dunning kruger effect has a corollary: in any adversarial conversation, the person to invoke the dunning kruger effect is the one more likely to be suffering from it. Seriously. The thing is, you don't need to invoke it; just ask questions, and when the person can't answer your questions it becomes obvious that person is just spouting BS.
Asking questions is the single most underrated social tool available to the human mind.
