Offlane NP is quite strong.
If he get too zoned out he can recover in jungle and can block camps
Decent damage with Basilius... can go back fountain with teleportation and another TP.
Support... well he got sprout but that's all... You can still try going Sprout -> Medaillon/Crest for the lulz but NP is too item-dependant, unlike WD or Venge
It's way easier to execute offlane np, support np is good but not rlly in pubs, too hard to execute.
It's more of a niche strategy for some pro teams
The pros have been running him as a pos 4/5 for a while now. It's like having an Io at lvl 1, then you can safe the offlane's resources for more impactful heroes. Plus, he still has his split pushing powers. It makes it so that opponents expend resources to defend... for a pos 5.
@Na+Cl this, NP is already hard to use in pubs considering FrogIce hates rat dota (glyph buffed, tower bounty lowered, shrines) and furion need great map/timing awareness to stay relevant, so about support NP...
