Pretty sure every mid hero wins him on laning stage, but if the enemy team doesn't have catch for you then the hero is decent. He's also good if you want to splitpush or shove in lanes + you can burst pretty much any hero after you get lvl 6.
When u don't have laning presence but want kill potential, against ta, against kitable heroes, those who can't pop flame guard in lane, when u need a high tempo mid, don't lack tower dmg but need wave clear, split pushing, can deal magic and physical dmg, etc
Also can someone who is good at this game explain why blademail ember is still a thing even after the spell lifesteal and spell amp interactions were changed? I don't see how it's better than either getting maelstrom, bf, or veil depending on ur gameplan. Even radiance rush after travels feels better, I just don't understand this item on ember.
