After get archon 5, u already lose 2 games right? Need 6 win to plus 1level medal. If u lose 2, u must win 8.
i got calibrated Archon 0 at 2000 MMR. few more games and I got Archon 1. Then it took me 500 MMR climb to get to Archon 2. hopefully rest of them come very quickly because 500 is freaking alot for each star.
So what matters is MMR not the medal. medal system is weird, and designed to make sure people don't leave game.
PS I think Behavior score is very relevant. I had 300 commends at 120 games, that's probably why I calibrated such a high medal with that little mmr.

i calibrated archon 4...got to a5 like a couple of days after the medal system released.. dont play ranked much but today i played some 8-9 or something ranked games and ive won 7 STRAIGHT at the time of writing and guess what? still archon 5
somebody care to explain that to me?
and ive been reading recently about something like valve checks your in game behavior or something when promoting and i think that's true because i rage and abuse A LOT
so have I done the community a great service in proving beyond doubt that in game behavior is critical while talking medal progression or what?
