A bunch of posts to the dota2 steam forums a few weeks ago with people claiming to have proof [sic]* that 6 reports automatically puts you into LPQ.
* when most people say "proof" what they really mean is "evidence". proofs relate to logical truths, evidence to empirical

I wouldn't put much thought into a forum where half the posts are about being scammed
The point isn't that I put much thought into it. the point is that a bunch of people are spreading misinformation

I currently have 9 reports in my last 25 games and am not in LPQ. I'm guessing it has to do with averaging over 2.2 commends per game and only having 1 abandon in the entire history of my account (my internet went completely down for 2 hours).
btw, most of those reports were from chewing people out for not selecting a lane in pick phase and then having 3 mid heroes (not me, I play pos5 mostly) fight over who gets to go mid.
So, no, it's gotta take more than just 6 reports to get you into LPQ.
