medal is still based on your mmr, even if it's still glitchy . medal shows your highest mmr (solo/party) so his solo mmr should be higher than party thats why he promoted to legend 2
Nop, if u have a good individual performance too many times in a row u get promoted no matter your role..I play support in ranked and I got promoted to archon 3 with 2.3k mmr

I have a friend that i always play ranked together with.
Now we have around 18 winning spree in ranked match, the question is that in that span of time he gained 3 medal, archon 5 to legend 2. And me i only get 1 from arch 3 to 4.
So my question is there any other factor determining the medal outcome?
