so players who buy everything from recommended have an ability to be somehow useful for their team.
Oh look a 2k player says the bottle is garbage so it must be true LUL. Bottle is probably one of the best items you can situationally pick up on offlaners these days. Since the supports spend a lot of time roaming at some point as an offlaner you're left in a 1v1 situation vs the enemy carry. You can just keep spamming spells and trading harassment and then if you feel like you can control both of the bounty runes close to you just get a bottle at the secret shop. It comes with 3 charges and you get additional 2 for each bounty. If you can pick up those bounties you're basically restored to full mana and full hp every 2 minutes.
bottle is mega garbage in lane but thanks to mregen changes it restores quite a lot as u accumulate int(120 per sip @ just hundred int) and eventually pays for itself + u can abuse post 40 min runes
does or does not? and either way, dont you drop items anyway. yeah you have some base str/int but. the main good thing about bottle is the ability to store runes. they can be game winning.
any regen form does scale with int and str, u can abuse post 40 mins rune, and u wont spent 10 sec afk in fountain to fill up ur hp/mana
and morph? why wouldnt u mention something liek tinker/kunkka/ember who usually back and forth from fountain to clash repeatedly
@Umbranox: you still admit that it's still very situational. Why would you buy bottle over a soul ring on current meta offlaners?
bottle regen can scale
I didnt know this until now. Thanks for pointing it out!
late game bottles can store runes
Ideally you arent supposed to be having a bottle in your main inventory 40 minutes into the game. Afair you cant backpack or drop bottles witg runes so you have to sacrifice one item slot just to save a rune for whatever crucial moment you envision, but all of these are unnecessary/niche anyway. Only useful runes are DD, invi and sometimes Arcane, but its not gonna be different if you stored it in a bottle wcompared to if you just picked it up indiscrimnately from the ground.
Anyway I just started playing dotes again after a long break so my understsnding on the new regen mechanics is still cursory
But my point still stands tho: bottle regen is abysmal during the laningstage so people ought to skip it on most mids and instead buy better items like a second stat item or boots or a wand
QoP perhaps but idk about Puck. Most Divine Puck players seem to be skipping bottle to rush an expensive situation item like midas (especially if you cant leave the lane to a hero like DK who pressures towers or if ganking as Puck sounds like a retarded plan given the circumstances so you wait out the laning phase and scream for teamfights under towers)
I havent got a chance to play mid in another higher rated account but I'm an idiot anyway so pls take my comment with a grain of salt
I literally can think of at least 10 heros that can make use of an offlane bottle to save up even 3 runes (depending on the situation) and roaming with that.
You're uninformed
it can boost your regen lategame while you can just put in on the backpack whenever you're not in the base

Ok
Do it

Why even buy bottle when you could just buy 20 clarities throughout the game?
The hp/mana regen should at least scale as hp and mana pools of heroes increase within the game's progress although I think it would be really OP
The only hero I can think of utilizing bottle is Morph, because of his naturally expendable HP pool, although the hero is borderline dogshit atm, and come to think of it, perseverance is kinda better for regen albeit 3x more expensive than a bottle.
Ok nevermind Bottle is actually just completely inviable right now.
