Mid: SF/OD/Razor. DK seems to work in some cases, although it's not optimal because DK will never crush the lane as hard a SF or a Razor.
HC: Jugg/Ursa if mid is SF/OD so the entire burden of being a hc isn't on you. AM if team has good hg defense or enemy has dusa/storm. Spec is against Tinker and team has good support. Sven against Meepo or PL. PA is kinda meh. Slark is meh.
You can also mid Dusa, which is kinda greedy but works.
Other hcs also work, like LS. Sometimes Necro in the safe lane can be good (against axe for example).
I'd say honorable mentions are viper qop and weaver. weaver is a good way to deal with dusa if you cant get am.
Meta heroes don't make sense to me now. Just play versatile timeless carries that aren't complete shit like jugg.

^i just have a medium sized hero pool that I'm comfortable with, and just play the ones that become op or rlly strong, and leaved the ones that are needed for when they're buffed.
I play storm, sf, ember, Lina, viper, but this patch I don't rlly pick Lina or ember since they're relatively weaker. If they get buffed and say sf gets nerfed I'll start playing them more. I cud say this for safelaners but my safelane pool is much larger and wud take more time to detail out so I hope I conveyed my point with my mid hero pool example.
Carry:CK (Only pick them with no Sven,Es,Dusa or any high nuker heroes) ,Jugg,AM,Sniper (I guess it will work and a decent midlaner) Sven (For me he is kinda situational now and he is slowly dying in the meta)
Mid:Storm,Tinker,Sf,Invo (All day everyday)
