That doesn't mean ember is bad against storm later in the game. His root can later fuck up the storm pretty hard. Finding an opportunity for that is the harder part.
Well storm can still be considered decent against ember later as you cant play ember like you would want to once storm has orchid. You need defensive items to split push/cut waves against storm.
I'm not a mid player at all and my thought was that with flame guard and chains on ember would destroy SS, but going by what your saying I'm wrong... Makes sense that late game ember is good against storm though.
Storm is good against ember later on as well. It used to be much worse for ember, but with the root change its much better. He still gets blown up by storm very easily though.
i remember watching EE lane vs w33 when they were on secret, and EE thought ember would win, w33 stomped him with storm bcuz level 2 remnant +static storm beats out ember in lane
i dont play storm, just ember but not too much aswell.
imo this is pretty even with a little bit or storm advantage. storm can win hard if he really wants to but he should clear a jungle camp here and there and help the sidelanes instead of jumping ember. so he will push the lane and leave ember farming in piece for most of the time probably.
ember can kill storm at level 7+ with an invis or haste tho
i am an ember player.i can tell you that this patch ember is garbage. with no pms storm just shits on ember in lane. even with creep agro a good storm player can just fuck with you.
Storm will fuck ember really hard in early but on late it depends on ember build magic or physic
Laning - slightly Storm, but Ember has a big kill potential on him & Storm has none.
Midgame - Ember counters Storm pretty hard with chains. Killing Ember for Storm is still very hard.
Lategame - Storm can solo kill him
I think Ember is a great counter vs Storm. He does great in the lane & just stomps him in midgame. Storm needs tons of farm to kill Ember. Even with orchid it's pretty much impossible if flameguard is on. Not to mention Ember will probably get Linken/Manta.
Ember > Storm till really late game when Storm is ultra farmed.
On a related note, is ember even viable anymore?
I ask because storm has sort of crept back into competitive play in recent tournaments and ember is ignored even when the hero pick would broadly be favourable against the enemy team's lineup.
Surely ember's great lockdown and mobility would be valuable in specific scenarios?
What am i missing here?
