Before looking at their account/stats/winrate etc...
    Me: Wow dude you're terrible
Them: Actually look at my winrate its 60% youre terrible

After looking at their account/stats/winrate etc...
Me: Wow you're archon 5 and you have 7192 hours of dota?!
Them: Wow you would study my account, desperate much?

Seriously, dota players drop the act.

This guy has legit 7192 hours of dota and hes archon 5 hows that even legal? You might as well make a new account, hell if I had that I would just quit dota altogether.

Archon 5 is quite good actually

      Melt

i stopped checking profiles at some point. ppl could have good/bad days or whatever

        76561198056619199

Archon 5 is literally 3220 mmr, regardless on what your opinion is whether 3k is good or bad. Its definitely awful if you have 7192 hours. Theres no possible way to defend it.

          Stone Cold Steve Austin

How is it awful? Not every players have the same limitations, someone who is stuck at Archon 5 is underwhelming at most, but not awful.

            Jacked

Anyway. I do indulge in a little profile shaming sometimes. It's just fun but I dont care honestly. Because we are all in the same game anyway and a few hundred mmr is not much difference

              Melt

the only situation where i check profiles is when i play with a stack, knowing theres a big difference in skill level.

like when i have a divine player and/or a herold in my team, i wanna know what skill level i will be faceing in my lane.

                224+

His main is a pudge, its understandable.

                  76561198056619199

Yeah but 45.92%? with over 400 games?

                    Stone Cold Steve Austin

Oh, so you're just ironically joking. Once again, hard to catch that kind of thing online.

                      JDF8

basically the only way i get mid

                        chicken spook,,,,

                          I give no fucks actually

                          Jacked

Improvement is not mandatory. U could get to 4k in a year. Get stuck. Don't gaf, and basically play the game indefinitely 10k 20k 30k hours and not improve. You're still 4k TOP 10%. 3.2 is quite good that valve callls them high skill. Lul

                            Eddie

I'm almost 3k games still 2k pleb what can I say dota is fun especially when stoned. And quitting is no fun

So you are 4k with 4.6k games and I reached 5k with less than 3k games. Should I make a thread about how incompetent you are?

You do realize that there's no point in wasting time criticizing someone from your game. Not only is it very likely that you will never meet that player again in your games (which makes teaching them a lesson useless), but you are hindering yourself.

Some people actually don't play this game to improve and become better than other, they do it, because it's fun for them. Imagine if I hadn't thought about the game at all, didn't look up some guides and resources to develop a better understanding of the game. I might have been 4k trash after playing 4 thousand games. And it would be completely OK.

But when you admit you really care about stats and being better than others and still are worse than 15% of the playerbase after pouring 200 days in this game, you reeeally shouldn't be wasting time typing some threads to mock other players.

focus on your self only, there is no point caring about others, unless you can learn something from them.

yea i jsut realise OP has got some sick stats. red days mate

                                    ETd

Yeah I'm really guilty of this. I judge profile badge level, lifetime stats on GPM, XPM, and Last Hits, and also match it up with their playstyle chart.

                                      casual gamer

                                        46

                                        Stone Cold Steve Austin

You know that on GPM, XPM and Last Hits, it's actually not lifetime stats, but only the most recent 20 matches' average?
Because that's the case for some reason.

                                          JDF8

because if u spend 2000 games as a trash, then crush 30 games in a row with 800 GPM/XPM people should be able to see

                                            Stone Cold Steve Austin

Yeah, and also it doesn't help that if, say a core player spams 10 supports, his stats will be very low there.
So if you really want to check up on people, look at their dotabuff page, because that "lifetime stats" will not reveal shit about them.

Back when you could check the recent games of all players, not just friends.
"We're not giving mid to you, mister red days SF who was 1-13 in their last game!"
You can still sort of do it now if they have Dotabuff enabled, but if they don't, you just hope for the best

I’ve played against and won against the player linked in the post twice, both low prio, both times he abandoned early after we got an early lead. Seems he’s still in low prio.

I’ve also played once and won against the OP (in ranked no less) but he went on to play a lot more dota and climbed while I stopped playing regularly and when I did play it was party unranked >_>
