reddit likes to make hourly posts about how dota is dead, they only want fancy shit rewards and events cause they dont understand the game
Hm, I played aoe3 until 2015 as well. I stopped playing after logging on one day and not a single open game in lobby and nobody would join mine. It has since gotten more people again, but still weak. Dota is not dead but it's player base is slowly declining. I also play pubg and rocket league, but I still like my dota.
I prefer the old ranking system, this new one is really awful tbh. my friends practically do not play anymore, so yeah, at least in my region, the game is dying!
Its nowhere near dead. Idiots don't understand that eventually your Sales will not be able to double every year. Eventually you make all the customers in the area and you start to run out of "new" customers. As long as you can log on during peak times and have more than 500,000 in Game Dota is fine. a few days ago it hit 780,000 players in game.

Yea maybe there are not as much as players than a year or 2 ago, but look where theyre all going, playing game like pubg or fortnite. Its the Same than it was with h1z1, everyone and their mum played it for a few Month and now this game is realy dead, noone knows it anymore. And im sure many of the players will Come back to dota.
Anyways No matter what time im playing, there are always at least 10 guys on my friendslist playing dota.
Im sick of all the dota is dieing shit, i played aoe3 until 2015, i know what dead games look like, and dota is noone of Them.
