I'd probably get it on someone like sniper who's attack range exceeds bloodthorn's active.
Yea good job ice frog. Make a pure dmg item. And then make another similar dmg item but give it more utility.

non-int heroes targeting bkb cores or multiple targets.
daedalus is bought for the large crit%, good heroes to buy it on, when having it, will crit 1.2k+.
Deadlus is good for heros who have crit passives like es snip kunkka cause u can 1 shot the enemy supports but blood thorn is better.

IF U NEED TO KILL SOMEONE DURING MAGIC IMMUNITY AND NEED LITERALLY NOTHING ELSE DAEDALUS IS THE BEST ITEM IN THE GAME ASIDE FROM RAPIER
this scenario is not common, particularly the "need literally nothing else". Nobody buys daedalus because bfly/silver edge/bloodthron give INFERIOR dps through bkb but are far better outside of that 1 scenario in almost all circumstances
the only hero who truly benefits enough from daedalus for it to be almsot core is sven (edit--kka its actually core)-- and people STILL get bt instead
ranged heroes in my pubs love to get that item. esp medusa weaver drow sniper.
and it actually hurts. But It's still just a dmg item. Yawn.

This is what I wanted to say, hammer has a strong design, just rendered weak by poor stats (channel time, AoE, cast range and usefulness outside its active)
say for a sven fighting against PL i think it'd be better to get a daedalus,unless the PL doesn't have dispel
I think it's a pretty stupid ability to pay for, no matter how u balance it, hence making it a stupid design (maybe not necessarily weak)

Except if I'm playing someone like treant, the hammer really is only useful for hitting towers and is pretty awful in fights.
Exactly why it's a stupid design. Let's give an item the ability to stun do aoe dmg and deal damage to towers. But that's OP so let's make it channel, Long cd, high mana cost, and lower the values (basically insert typical ice frog nerf value). Let's make the item useless otherwise it's OP.
Let's design an item that let's u ddos the enemy team. But since that's OP. Let's make it so u can't do that.

It's good in certain games. I doubt it's bad with range talent with kotl. Just because you can't use it in every game in every scenario like bkb doesn't mean it's bad. Also deadalus has its uses. Kunkka, sniper, sometimes sven

Is there any situation that you would rather go daedalus, or its virtually always better going thorn? the item is dead, does it need a rework?
