I think its due to the loss of true strike
you would need to buy a bloodthorn for true strike if your hero doesn't have a truestrike ability or apply break to counter PA(the hero mkb was always bought against anyway)
It's not op, old one gave 35% for 160 magic dmg per hit which is 56 per hit, on normal resist it does 42 magic dmg. So it's essentially the same dmg, you trade raw dmg for attack speed which is better on some heroes, worse on others. Main thing is it's cheaper, but you also lose the mini stun and full truestrike. So it's better on heroes who love attack speed, about the same on most, worse on those who love dmg. Probably better on sniper and troll and PA.

it's pure damage, not magical, that makes the difference actually huge, you cannot build a hood or bkb to counter this
MKB is just a pretty good damage item right now
pretty good against high armor high magical resistance heroes
for example you will build hood on dk if the enemy has really high magical burst so that you can survive long enough to make use of your passive that does not protect you against magical damage
but if you picked hero without pure damage and you need it, you were pretty much set before, now you can actually BUILD A PURE DAMAGE SOURCE
that's right guys, we finally have an item that grants the utility that didn't exist in dota previously - an item that lets you deal pure damage
attack speed makes it better on some heroes and worse on others. thats the only big difference i think, besides the price change. 75% is high enough that you wont miss.
^yeah I am pretty sure that if you play sniper now going shit like mkb daedalus makes more sense than going moonshard/mjollnir mkb or some other glass canon build
basically the builds gotta adapt to the fact that attack speed items are kinda okay with mkb because you get pure damage procs but it is still 45 dmg per hit on average, and damage is probably much better, I am pretty sure it was better to build attack speed alongside before it when it gave 66 damage and ministun instead
^oh jesus that's actually pretty sick considering spec illusions also get the attack speed
but we'll see if it is better than the alternatives, probably better in most cases when there's heavy evasion/miss chance on the enemy team
^Illusions don't get Attack Speed, only AS from AGI. It's not an item that you will rush, but u will gladly build it at some point & u didn't want to build MKB previously.

Attack Speed bonuses now work on Illusions.
it is really not that relevant, most illusion heroes just build stats anyways and they have a ton of attack speed since most of them are agi heroes, which means raw attack speed is kinda shit on them
like the only illusion hero you would like to build AC (barring ET/slardar/general -armor picks) and moonshard on is CK because he hits slowly but hard with his typical build
spectre is a hero whose right clicks have always been kind of curious and not all that effective but if you stack pure damage and attack speed on her (since she benefits a lot from attack speed if you can get deoslate off on a target) it is actually pretty insane
you build diffusal, your illusions burn a bit of mana and have 20 more attack speed to hit with desolate
now, you build a MKB, you do 45 bonus pure damage on average, BUT your illusions get 60 attack speed to proc desolate
that's actually an absurd amount of damage coming from two items (mkb and manta)
Oh btw...dont forget that you get 25%accuracy per javelin.
So you have truestrike while you are buidling mkb.

Yeah, because reducing the miss chance by 4.25% is worth it
If you have 17% miss chance, and 25% accuracy, you'll reduce the miss chance to 12.75% because accuracy is only relevant when you should have missed the attack.
It is not 17%-25%, it is 17%-17% * 25%
FeelsBadMan - yeah, blue star means that I'm omnipotent. AS never worked on illusions, they changed it recently & I didn't notice. There are many things that even players from top10 leaderboard don't know.

And does 60 pure damage per proc..which is 75%.
So basically it gives 60 AS and 45 pure damage per hit for 4.2 geld.
Isnt that good or is my math wrong?
