Better to pick a support which can secure spectre's farm during the laning phase.
Support Zeus is mediocre-to-terrible, and core zeus falls off faster than most mid heroes in this meta.
Also, this duo has crap wave clear and lockdown, so good luck stopping the deathballing heroes like pugna, veno etc

The actual synergy is both those heroes have like 56% winrate at 3k so if you take both = 112% winrate literally impossible to lose
It doesn't matter what patch it is. Murranji believes strongly in this evergreen combo. Spectre Zeus winrate always the highest no matter the patch. I imagine that's his thinking
yea if any of you actually bothered first picking spectre every game you'd notice those stats don't mean any fucking shit and she's a garbage spamming material
why not add a silencer, nature's prophet and aa into the mix to get what you really wanted.

Zeus goes mid. Spectre goes safelane. As long as you have a decent support in lane and have an offlane which doesn't get dominated by their safelane then once the midgame is secure you can win close to every team fight. Once spectre has radiance its close to over. Late game spectre ulti and zeus with refresher and 2 nimbuses and 0.7 second stuns means that any team fight immediately starts with the enemy on half hp at best.
Zeus Spectre combo is stuff know since 2014. Just like Magnus Sven, Void Tinker, Void AA, Void ET, drow start. Any combo on pubs is good no matter how small.
why also not to add Bloodseeker and Natures Prophet and silencer and call it a global strat (like people do) ??
They stole the spectre from us but we managed to win.

Im only going to play party with someone who picks spectre so I can play Zeus and win.
This combo is so strong I don’t know why it isn’t run all the time. It doesn’t work when it’s just Zeus or just spectre because without the the combo of Zeus’s strong early game to cover for spectre and spectres late game to protect Zeus from initiatiors then they will independently lose. But together they are close to unbeatable.
I’m done with losing. From now on only winning.
