well actually lots of meepo players aint think micro skills that much, meepo got really fast damage output/second. easily hex poof blink combo and really good pusher. only thing u have to do going to settings and put number to select all other units, thats all.
not actually think about it while farming at middle go make a stack at jungle take them gain fast levels early items min 8 dragon lance 13 blink 18 hex etc. u dont even need aghanim for meepo. nobody needs to be perfect with it, just win the game right? :D
chen is very fun to play in the first 10 minutes. get a tomato and run at their safelane, no hero can fight that lvl 1.
but then you have 4 creeps and it all becomes too messy
I think the most rewarding complex hero right now is Visage. People have absolutely no clue how to deal with him and how much dmg he can deal. Also Earth Spirit - he's the best roamer in the game IMO, but rarely anyone can play him right.
Meepo I think is not worth learning at all. I used to spam meepo a lot, hes strong but it takes like 200-300 games to play him at least decently and if you dont play this hero everyday you start to forget how to play him right. Especially when it comes to micro. Same comes with Chen.
Chen was my main hero in 6.84 which I was grinding ez mmr with. Now since the map changes and jungle creeps nerfs hes much weaker. They buffed his ult but lack of heal was not the problem. Paper jungle creeps are the main problem. Its not worth learning this hero at all. He is not rewarding anymore.
Io - also a fine hero to master but not under 5k mmr. Under 5k mmr you can just go Omniknight and win 60% of games. So you are right. This meta favors imo ez to play heros like Necro, Sven while complex ones are not worth mastering that much as they used to be. Besides Visage and Invoker ofc. Just my opinion.
Satyr or Troll with ensnare is far better than tomato on lvl 1. But once again ... Why not pick Enchantress then ? She can put much higher pressure on enemy safelane than Chen.
even i think if its worth it to spam invoker, where i could be say, spamming Sniper or something to have an easier time. But as a general rule of thumb, I have seen that easier heroes are easier to counter. That aside, I love the things invoker can do, and that element of fun makes me grit my teeth and take the losses i might have avoided otherwise with easier heroes. OP should empathise with the idea of playing for fun.
For me, complex heroes are more satisfying to play for this reason. You always know that you can push your boundaries and play with this hero much better. Your limitation is your skill, not hero mechanics. Also, I have a feeling that if a complex hero is played well, you have bigger impact on the game overall compared to easy hero played well. Those moments when you solo kill void as a visage, because you just chainstun him. Or hit a global silence as an earth spirit with just one stone.
Because complex heroes are better than easy heroes if you know how to use them.
Dazzle is a easy defensive support
Oracle is a complex defensive support
If you know how to play Oracle you can have a impact way bigger than dazzle in a team fight
Now think about a roamer with mobility, AoE stun, AoE silence and good AoE damage.

So there is Earth Spirit, he have all this, but only works if you know how to use properly.
That's why people play complex heroes, Because they offers high rewards with high risks and complexity.
after a certain point (which is not exceptionally high) theres very little difference related to mechanical complexity
cus it's fun? Just cus you don't find it enjoyable doesn't mean other people don't. Like I stay far away from invoker, I like viper. Other people, especially like pros, think viper is boring and invoker is exciting.

Io is icefrog's masterpiece i kinda find myself to playing this hero,i have done all builds with pretty much all items game offer,io is actually most versatile hero in my eyes,every legit io player know he is even legit mid right click carry or pos 5 suppoort where you have only bottle at 10m mark.The fun is endless and cap is high just as sky believe or not.
dude qop mid is so op in 1k mmr. i first pick her, get easy early kills, get orchid, destroy them. If they try to build linkens its already gonna be too late, they already fed me like 10times lul. Like srsly i played qop mid still havent lost a single game.

There's many complex heroes like meepo and chen but why would you play them? You could play easier heroes and don't put your body in a stress. Is it like that you can do things with it that you can't do with other heroes? Invoker has everything in one place, pushing abilities, fighting abilities, great disables, mana drain, etc but what other complex heroes do to be played sometimes?
