Butter farms faster and you are harder to kill. Also you force enemy cores into mkbs and you do more dps if your allies can hold them in place. Abyssal helps you explode 1 person reliably. As first item after manta the choice is situational and depends on the game, I lean towards abyssal most of the time but butter has its place as the first big item after manta.
Not much pickoff potential in pro games or need more disable since the draft usually covers it up
usually the team has disables already like bws said,and since they picked AM might as well farm that butterfly for better ratting right?

many go aghanim , even shpere when enemie have lc( i was so hard flamed by 3ks going sphere in 7,00 with am but i vs lc)
just like that butter make u ,, immune,,vs right click cores and make u farm push super super faster
if ur ally alrdy have good lockdown abysal can be bought later
and Heart of Tarasque is the most shit item on Anti.

why do pro players and pubs doesn't pick up abyssal on am and goes for butterfly. and doesn't pick up and HoT.
i mean , treads,bf,manta,butterfly,bkb,cuirass etc.
