Hello! I missed every patch from 7.04 to now, and have fallen far behind on how the game has shifted. Could you please give me a brief overview of what has changed since then?
I know zeus/necro/veno/viper/silencer/ss/sven/pl/sb are good, the jungle has been nerfed and hood/pipe/halberd is extremely strong. Also respawn talents are gone, and some of the replacements are absurdly good (thank god, i will not miss the 5s respawn blink lion at 25 minutes)
If you could fill me in on the details that i am missing, it would be much appreciated
even meepo players do not know how to counter meepo players :D
i can help with this one: pick ww. in fights, hide very far away (with smoke is best, not usually necessary), ideally u buy a blink first. do not engage or cast any spells until u see meepo, then blink ult him and proceed normally.
Control the rosh pit. Most meepos will not rosh until 15, but will go for rosh as soon as possible when they hit 15. be aware of this and try to catch him in the pit and kill him. if you get the first rosh and kill him, he will probably lose the game unless he is retardedly ahead or rats a win.
Be aware that with some teammates he will try to rosh with 3 clones and an ally + smoke. Main offenders are armor reduc heroes (vs, medallion, slardar), aura damage (luna), or high rosh damage (underlord). this is less common but increases as mmr rises to being more likely at 5.3k+ imo
also afaik this is a bad patch for meepo, so u have to worry less. still, this hero is always a threat due to constant pick potential and very high single target/tower damage. imo it's nice to have forces/lotus against him to save hex target but often he will jsut chain net and maybe trade aegis for a kill + soaking cc in fights.
the most important thing if u are a meepo counter is that YOU CAN NOT BE IN VISION UNTIL HE IS! if he sees you he will approach from some dumb angle and blink hex you. you don't know where his wards are so it helps to hide in trees (away from hg ward) or with smokes, but generally being 1200 + units away from the main action will lead to difficulty for him, especially at night time

ur not wrong, but if he doesnt want to get his main cursed he literally has to walk his clones in lol. plus theres other issues. you can curse the clones and then euls the main, or have a teammate purge off the ghost.

i have 67% overall winrate against meepo on that account, its not hard to ruin his life if you pay attention to what hes doing

I needed help to get back to 5.0, currently 4.5 after a tilt, so I added him, but he doesn't speak English at all. So I joined a Discord chat with him and his translator, and honestly it was just awkward and too slow. I wouldn't recommend adding him if you don't speak Russian, he also charges 10 dollars, but gives off the impression that it's gonna be free on dotabuff, so I instantly left the chat.

roamer(or second support)
explain their purposes and cover your mistakes.
Mostly people lose games due to macro mistakes they make such as:
not taking roshan when they can
not finishing game when they have aegis
doing bad smokes
dying to opponent smokes
no vision game (AKA BUY WARDS)
etc...
Biggest mistake of people i've been playing with is map awareness so i can cover lots of that.
