Hmmm. I suggest u go watch player prespective of top mmrs and pause the game on teamfights frame by frame and see where they center their camera and who is the reason of this camera positioning.

I think i mostly try to put myself on the edge of the camera so i can see more of the fight area while still having vision of myself

you don't need to see your hero in a team fight.
