It depends on how they define "new player".
Case 1. If a "new player" is a player, which plays on a fresh account (let's say, less than 100 games) AND fails to show a skill level better than "normal skill".
If Valve follows a definition like that, then yes, you ain't getting new accounts in VHS unranked.
Case 2. If a "new player" is just a player with a fresh account (let's say, less than 100 games), without any extra conditions.
Actually would make more sense, since a "new player" could be a quick-learner, a good player and reach fast VHS.
In this case, you would be matched with new accounts in VHS unranked.
Cursory thinking may get you to "new player" = "normal skill", however that is not necessarily true.
What if this "new player" just gets "Very high skill" really quick and he's actually a real new player, just good at the game, according to system's algorhythms?
So yea, I think, it is most likely "Case 2" scenario and my unranked games are gonna be fucked.

On a serious note, the very first time you launch dota, it asks you if you have previous Dota/MOBA experience, right? Assuming everyone answers honestly(don't factor in the smurfs who truly just want to bully around the newbies and press "I have no prior MOBA experience"), this system should've already been in place before.
When I was new I liked earthshaker and I fissured any hero on sight when it off cd. Everyone auto attacked creeps in lane and 4 cs per min was considered good but I'm pretty sure the attack animations were pretty hard to last hit with. I wonder what mmr I had when I was 12.

BS is measured basing on the frequencey of reports and abandons in the recent set of games, not sure how many. im also not aware whether commends affect it or nah.

i thought it is yesterday's update, and the feature that counts bs for mm (in a very weird way btw) was only introduced 20 hrs ago or so; i doubt it works retrospectively unless gabe learnt to break the time continuum.

not rly. jsut like midone for ex, commpensated for his teammates probably , cause of his singhnifacntly higher mmr from the rest ingame, the game was not rly balanced from his point of view, cuase his team mmr was slightly or singhificantly (i cant say for sure), lower than the enemy team. but imagine if he would had to deal with teammates that steal his role, even after he already locked in for that, to deal with teamamtes that tilt in the first thing that goes wrong and start feeding cours, ect ,ect. but is not the point. the point is that i camme here with the idea that bs matters and is a factor that determine the matchmaking system , and you said that this thing is not confirmend, presuming that bs is jsut something that is there for not a specifik reason, and you wanted to make an experiment to se byyourself if that think probably is real and effects the matchmaking system since there were no officialy confirmation from valve. and iadmited that too, but based on my experience i was almost 100% sure that this thing is real it has an effect, did not specified it how much , cause would be biased . i dont know about you, but if i was in your place, i would admite that i was probably wrong( rly high chances), at least, not that it matters that much rly, but they way things went , it kinda matters acutally.

You know what this means, right? Behaviour score never had an impact in the past since they just introduced it.
I was wondering what happened to ranked. I was on a 7 win streak. Suddenly after the behaviour score change, I go on a 5 lose streak.
Cookie, I calibrated at 3.25k and climbed to 4.6k with a 60% win rate. I was playing the game half-dead too. Literally playing 8+ games a day with barely any sleep.

so now they are tracking everyone's behavior score in the matchmaking process in order to determine who should play with new players.
