Following from the retarded dagon on Axe post, dagon needs to be buffed to make it a viable item that's not a auto-throw.

I'm not talking about adding another +50 burst damage, or reducing recipe cost by 50 gold, which is what's been done already for the last 10 years to make the item more usable.

Combine Rod of Atos with Dagon. Two sec immobilization, and 400 damage burst after. Dagon would just be an upgrade to Rod of Atos with a 1000 gold recipe. The resulting item would give tons of hp and stats, a disable, and burst. No further upgrades (i.e. no more dagon 5).
