as far as i know the lane exp and gold is too good for mid players to go hunting.
u might lose ur t1 sooner too

depends on the lineups but it seems like the game is more focused around a core mid player now so the timing of your core items as a mid is even more important I think

mid sits and farms mid, you should still TP if there are 3 free kills because the enemy is diving your tower, and you should still push with your team when there's a good opportunity, but in general, you don't risk any half assed ganks or pushes that have a chance for failure, you only do things that'd be beneficial to you and your team and you are 100% sure you'll manage to pull off, and you do those things if they are superior to you staying in the lane while rotating jungle.

I mean if you are invoker in particular, for example, you want to farm as much as you can and only rotate when there's stupid amount of gold and exp in dead enemies' bodies.
