Heart will give you more survivability on a hero with huge magic resistance and armor. You still go BKB on AM sometimes, tho, even though AM can deal with a lot of things with manta and HP alone. Also heart makes sure your illusions don't die instantly.
Seems to me that iG lost that match as a team. Not much blame goes to Burning's build.
There's physically no way that a standard build invoker can kill AM with heart and Butterfly unless he stands there and takes it for 10 seconds.
The main decision is to go for abyssal, but since Miracle had linken, that wouldn't make him any more killable for AM. Better just rely on your teammates' disables and hope they land good fight once.
Buying BKB would be the least optimal thing to do here as it would solve none of Burning's problems. Not to mention Liquid had Tusk, Void and Pudge.
