Treads of course, +10 attribute is really good and u have the ability to switch between 3 attributes, basically you have the option to switch it to strength when in need of extra hp and regen, to int when you need mana regen, and agility for dps, unlike phase boots, treads is the more balanced..and also the attack speed greatly helps, further increasing your dps.
Tread switching allows u to sustain jungle farming, and if u properly trigger traps for max slow u wont need the phase movespeed.

Stats and attack speed help ta kill in those 5 seconds u mongol, and treads help speed up farming more than travels cuz of tread switch sustain. U get treads 1000 gold earlier than travels meaning u can take those ancient stacks earlier. Like there is so much wrong i barely know how to tackle it.
I mean who the heck rushes BoT on ta? An aquilla + blight stone and treads, for almost the same cost as BoT, and gives WAY more benefit than early BoT, ta is not tinker that needs an early BoT.

Treads is much better for DPS. Though Zenoth said (he is a 6k+ TA player, used to post here) going Phase let's you 2-shot creep waves while with treads it doesn't always happen (unless you buy aquila I guess), so there's that.
you can 2 shoot waves when u have deso but getting phase for that purpose doesnt seem to be good at all
The only time phase could be picked up is when u utterly destroy shitstains and get really early blink and go for kills. Otehrwise people tend to go for phase so they can farm their deso quick and be fat.

yeah i find it easier to farm desolator when you got phase rather than PoT but most people pick up treads.
yeah phase boots is actually a good stuff on ta , i can farm my deso with phase in 12-16 min mark but whenever i go pick up for treads i always end up 15-18 mins #feelsbadman
