Why meld ? Use silver edge instead ! If u use too much physical energy of ta then she ll be very weak ! Plus sitting like that is very hard u know
I normally press A on target, though it might be slower than right clicking. You can try to do a normal attack then immediately meld strike to ensure you are in range, especially early on since psi blades don't go beyond level 2 before meld.

How do you use meld on templar assassin do you press+a(attack) or you just right click the enemy? im confused
