Meta shifted from early push to mid-late game team fights which is Spectre's specialty. She punishes weak offlanes and given space she is probably more powerful than any other carry (AM comes close but he prefers to split push, which isn't viable any more). Specifically if the enemy doesn't go duo offlane, solo Abaddon or some gank heavy lineup she can't be dealt with. This is also the reason why her winrate falls off rapidly in the 4-5k MMR brackets. People know better and even if she is picked last they will adjust their strategy to make her life miserable.
Rule of thumb, Spectre's viability is very closely tied to average game length. Longer games = stronger Spec.

Antimage doesn't let the game go late....
Unless you're playing versus a braindead antimage he will end the game before you ever catch up.
If the game is aids and he can't close fast enough, his late game is still ok.
He can still easily split push while youre teamfighting. If anyone tps to defend he blinks back and tps home and now you're fighting 4v5.
Or if he can kill that person he will do so and keep raxing you.
Yeah I've been making this point a couple of times over the past week.
Once people start realising this the hero is going to be spammed to shit. Just like the 6.86 patch.
Spec is a situational pick. The moment the enemy pick something like timbersaw u're in for a shit game. Spec always had a high winrate, I guess this is mostly influences by the lower MMR brackets.
Goethe, I remember a while back(like 7 months ago or Smth) I played a game with you on my team at something around 1800mmr(played under the name of Jesus and carried as troll). How did you drop so far?
Could have been unranked, party ranked or very imbalanced game. Looking at Ghoete's ranked winrate, it's unlikely he dropped from 1.8k to 1.1k
All the answers are there, if only you look. 1k games in pubs 100 in ranked. I feel like 5ks don't only have better map awareness, they are just more aware in general
Yeah no, there are plenty here who are 5k+ and you still question their intelligence.
