instead of deleting thread and reposting, you can just bump the thread to show people that youve been waiting patiently for an answer. im sure there is at least somebody in this forum who still retains enough emotional sensitivity to help you out

Will the new calibration affect opendota estimated mmr?

                  Yeah for sure

Correct. Calibration will place you in the appropriate mmr bracket (hopefully) and your skill bracket is based upon that mmr.

Yes, however you're playing below the maximum calibration so it wont affect your estimated mmr.

Hmmm is this legit pig that normal skill is 1mmr to 3,199? i think not 1mmr, maybe 1k mmr to 3,199? how about the unknown skill?

                      GLARE

Yeah it's legit. An unknown skill rating is given when Dotabuff can not accurately estimate the skill bracket for a match. This can occur during network errors (for example, when Dota API is down) or when there are huge differences in mmr among players.

ohhh okay thanks, hmmm according to what you said. i can still have 3k mmr even with my normal skill. currently calibrating with 7 games left, average mmr is 2.1k saddd :(

                          Mr. Jin

OK thks. So if let's say I rise to 3505 in opendota then is no longer accurate? And the normal and high skill in the matches is based off everyone in ur game, not juz ur own.

Plenty of games left to improve. At least you aren't calibrating at 1.3k like I did. Good luck!

Yep, that's right. For instance, if a 5k player made an account and calibrated at 3.5k then the estimated mmr for that account would be lower than his true mmr. In that case it is inaccurate. I think inaccuracies could also occur is you frequently party with players that have much higher mmr than you.
