Assign a control group to a hotkey in settings.
Then in a gamr select the units you want to occupy the control group, lets say meepo 2, 3 and 4.
Then press ctrl + that hotkey to assign those units to the control group.
Now every time you press that control group those units will be selected.
Other notes: -control groups save over multiple matches.
- control groups are hero dependant, so if you have button X set to meepo 2, 3 and 4 while playing meepo
Next game if you play arc, you can set that button to something like his ult and it wont mess up your meepo hotkey.
- if a control group doesnt exist, the unit doesnt exist in that case or the unit is dead it will select your main hero instead.
So ex, if you have meepo 2, 3 and 4 set to x button but youre only lvl 1 ult with only 2 meepos total. Itll only select meepo no.2
- game doesnt remember which illusion you selected in a control group, so when you create new illusions it just selects every illusion of that type
Ex, if you bind X to illusion 1 from naga, and Y to illusion 2, z for no.3
When illusions die, and you re-summon them X, Y and Z will all select all illusions at once.
But if you set X to her 1st spell illusions and Y to manta illusions then game will remember the type of illusion bound to x or y
When you select a control group, it selects the first bound unit in that group.
So you tab poof in a group
Usually for meepo you select meepo 2, 3, 4 and 5 into a control group then tab>poof spam on your main hero and reselect your main hero to blink then.
You can use pre-made control groups for this though in the settings: select hero and select all other units

What does control group mean? How to use it?
Does it that we assign a group ? Like if I'm playing meepo and i have 4 of em (no aghs) then can I assign all 3 if them to group 1?
New to dota 2 . any help is fine.
