Its a glowing red sythe called "desolator", the visual queues are pretty strong that its an item for doing damage and killing people, which most people want to do.
its somewhat understandable that a new player would want this item without knowing if its really good for them, especially since its in the recommended items for a lot of heroes.
i bought it because it looka cool, gives damage, and it doesnt have active since i was too lazy to click stuffs

i think some of low 2k believe that desolator -armor stacks you usually find 3+ people build it in the same team
deso is decent on lycan (push) ls (fuck all people and amplify feast) and mk (-armor their whole team).
not even lc shall get it (armlet-blink-blademail-bkb-ac-boot 6 slotted lc may be abyssal/mkb instead of armlet)
nah people probably buy multiple desos in 1 team because they dont cooperate and play their own game
cheap damage. low level players have no concept of optimal itemization. hence a cheap item that does a lot of dmg is very appealing
If he was able to farm up all of that without losing when he was building Blink Dagger I respect him as a carry player.

It's actually a good item. And the damage increase is instantly noticeable, especially against creeps, towers and low-armor heroes.
Not to mention it gives your attacks a distinct sound and makes it glow.
The amror reduction at the first 20 mins is op...deso, solarcrest are op especially if u do high physical damage.
Works on pa, lc , lycan and other heroes who have almost 0 magic damage.
On slark, tiny, invo etc it aint the best bang for the buck. Faceless void deso....idk
Weird tho when I first played DOTES WC3 days Midas was an amazing item in my eyes, everything's is shit except for Midas hahaha.

why do so many low level players build desolator on literally every hero? What is it with desolator that makes people buy it so much? I've seen deso on nyx, slark, legion (i guess it could be okay on legion but theres way better items for her)
