i think its more like support than offlane, ive actually had an amazing game with that kinda player
They took away some base damage, so his very own advantage of laning is nerfed
Then Morph Replicate added a little cast time
Shitty talent tree compared to other heroes
And 1.1 INT happened
The 1.1 INT combined with no +stats made it incredibly hard for standard morphling to have your spells on, up and ready at any point.
And he was always notorious for his mana problems to begin with.
Add to the fact that many hard carries now have huge range, while Morph is basically a glorified melee hero, but with all the handicaps of a ranged one.
