Mek is not always an item every game. Sometimes u need pipe instead of mek. After that u can build whatever u want. U get blink when u need proper positioning and initiating. Vlad is when ur team will get high value out of it (sniper,ursa and so on). U need bm to not get killed in the 1st few second in the teamfight
If no one is getting helm of domi then get it after arcanes. You can be more effective in early fights or if you are wrecking the offlane you can mow down towers with it.
