There are 6 levels where we wont get skill points, they could add the stats back, or like each level up without abilities gives 5 to all stats, so late game all heroes from the sup to the carry are more durable, and have more resources to work with, or just add the ability to level stats 6 times
Levels mean you get the heroes base stat growth if it's empty
Valve won't change a thing now
not to mention that any extra stat gain would be broken considering the talents that give you stats. lul.
Attribute points were terrible. Everyone complained about them being 'weird'. People were lvling them for efficiency on some heroes like AM, Jug etc. but they were still pretty bad. I like the talent tree update, however, a lot of the talents are just bad; thus, it doesnt really feel like a good replacement.
p.s. Everyone is confused still with the new lvling system. Timings are different now cuz lvl 2 ult is on 12th lvl. But we r gonna get used to it eventually.
u aren't supposed to be not rewarded for lvling up, that's just bad design imo
if u don't get a skillpoint or a talent lvling up just adds respawn time and does nothing good(except that u get closer to lv 20/25 talents)

I agree. I always went 1-stat-1-stat-1-ulti on Sven. But now I have mana issues on 4-5th lvls

When talent tree first appeared i had conflicted feeling for it but now I'm ok with it.

you get closer to getting a talent, that's the whole fucking point of the talent tree design
You plebs crying about stats. Those levels you get attributes based off your hero.
For example, those "empty level ups" are not for nothing. You level up. And depending on your hero depends on the stat growth.
Like Abadon's gets
+2.7 STR
+1.5 AGI
+2.0 INT
per level.
Adding the +2 extra again would be retarded. Even an extra +1, that is why almost every Talent Tree has stats as an option.

I know that the talent tress were meant to be replacements for the ability to pick stats. Yet, the missing levels wherein you don't skill anything feel awkward(level 17, then 19 to 24), sometimes I don't even realize that I leveled up. Maybe Valve could put back stats, but instead of +2 to each attribute, just +1? There are some skills I want to keep at a value point, but because of the lack of ability to pick stats I'm forced to upgrade, resulting in higher manacost.
