trying to micro the carry player will likely get you flammed but if your better at support its probably better if you do play support. A good support can win you the game.

I like how you use the word 'chance'. Playing support does not allow you to minimize chance of getting a shit carry in order to win a game. I have done my fair share of praying to Lord Gaben and I find praying for a support is more fruitful than praying for carry who is not an idiot.

I have found out that 4 cores with one hero semi supporting has a better chance at winning than 5 cores. Even if I can outfarm my teammate and lane enemy the simple presence of wards and dusts doesn't allow me to capitalize on enemy team's bad positioning and try to snowball off of that.

Just play support since you're good at it and watch the ez +25s. You got a better chance at winning if you're a good support with a bad carry rather than two bad carries.

Still though if you only have 1000 MMR while trying to rise, coupled with 48% winrate over 1500 games, you should probably give up on trying to win MMR, and just play unranked or some shit.

In games under 4k, only a good carry is necessary. Over 4k, both is needed. No space for the carry = no farm.
