Used to spam. Not anymore tho. Cuz if you spam one-two heroes and play 5+ games per day you become like a robot. Also if you spam a hero it basically means that YOU HAVE TO FIRST PICK IT because if you don't then your position is gone and the game is lost. That was basically the reason why I stopped it cuz playing every game vs your nightmares is not worth it. However, it makes you better at this hero prob and also helps your MMR to grow. That's how you grind boys till 7k.

I don't think there's a single person who is so good at one hero that they start losing 80% of games when they can't play it. If you're good enough to reach some MMR by spamming one hero, that means you get bonus MMR when you play it, so when you don't, you should at worst have about 50/50 chance to win, this is the only way you can rise, and considering how many hero spammers there are, it obviously mean that spamming works.

And no, somebody who can get 6k by spamming a hero is not shit at the game or unable to play other heroes, a 6k player who never plays meepo or chen will win a 3k game by default.

I've been spamming Nyx a bit. Yesterday someone else wanted to play offlane so I chose support instead. It's fun playing Nyx but winning with a different hero is always a nice breeze as well.

I always lose with nyx, a lot of my teammates have a hard time dealing with stunned enemies.

Lots of weaver and alch lately, some MK. Depends on the meta, I usually try to spam 3/4 heroes that are (1) strong in the current meta and (2) I haven't played much before.

Spam is good way to improve Machanic,I only play Ursa and Lycan.But recently a lowP SingleDraft game I have to use PL and I found myself are so good with the hero skiĺl and timing,it's my Machanic improved,even I never play him but I am so much better when using him now compare to last time

Spam is good especially when you feel you do much better with a hero than others in bracket.Or you just love him, i choice worst global winrate hero and i love him play ranked and do my best as support thats why i spam io not actually couse i think im that good, and play him unranked its not much motivation for me, its nice how confident you feel with hero which you spam, and hell yeah every game improve your skill on hero, especially harder ones, so do what you like spam is definitely good way how to learn master hero, but versatility is so important in dota if we talk all about

im currently spam pudge and now i have no problem going against him. i know how much he can do with specific levels and items, whether he can kill anyone on my team, his limits and strengths... yea basically playing too much of a same hero helps you know potential and limit of that hero, and extremely handy when the enemy picked it.

When I smurfed I reached VHS by spamming troll. Mid-lane Troll is insane esp when played against players at lower skill than you. And no, this was not during the golden Troll days era patch

That said, I don't like spamming and play a variety of heroes

Been having fun playing Slardar after coming back from Heroes of the Storm. Probably because I've become awful at farming and Slardar is fairly forgiving if you can grab the occasional CS.

Spamming is fine, you'd learn how to play around your counters and notice your mistakes easier, forcing you to become a better player
Not exactly spamming but I prioritize on picking my best heroes for some awhile (spectre, void, AM, jugger) while slipping some meta heroes that is fun to play and universally good

I pick them because I simply enjoy using relatively high skillcap heroes

Yo, I'm pretty sure it's possible to be 'good' at EVERY FUCKING HERO in your bracket. I could probably stomp people with meepo every game in your bracket. That doesn't mean I'm good at the game because suddenly I can play a shitload of heroes in a bracket where people have yet to figure out how to use a keyboard.

Recently in my ranked matches I just spam pick these heroes: Spectre for safe lane carry, NS and Slardar for offlane, Disruptor and Skywrath for support. I dont mid cause i gave up on it i suck haha.

with 300 games with visage, i can say that im pretty good at him. but since his nerf in 7.01 which made his bird's hp lower, i dont play him much often coz they die so easily. and people will not understand how much of a beast visage is if he gets farm. sadddd
